Kurt has over 25 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry and has built an excellent reputation in the Alberta energy sector. As the sole founder of Performance Vac in 2006, he led the company in growing to over 85 employees. Previously, Kurt, along with a partner, founded and managed an oilfield service company that was subsequently sold to a US-based private equity firm. With a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur in the sector and region, Performance Vac was built with a culture and structure that focuses on health, safety and environmental stewardship.
Paul has held a number of leadership and management positions in both the risk management and energy services industries. Paul joined one of the largest energy brokerages in the early 2000’s and held various positions within that firm in both Calgary, Grande Prairie and Red Deer regions. These positions included two major roles, first as an Energy Marketer, and the second as a Senior Account Executive of both mid to large sized energy accounts. Paul has well over 15 years of direct experience in the Oil & Gas sector, 12 of which were spent at a large cap risk management firm, and as a partner in his own firm. Paul’s extensive experience has translated to the development of a strong network among customers in the region.
In 2014, Paul joined the PVT Group as a Account Executive and was later promoted to CEO in the fall of 2015. Paul holds a Business Administration degree from Mount Royal University and has also served as a Board member for both the Central Alberta Oilman’s and the Red Deer Minor Hockey Association.
As the CEO, Paul works directly with PVT Groups Executive on strategy, risk management, and corporate governance. He is responsible for the overall operations at PVT Group, working directly with all mangers to execute work safely and efficiently. Paul has 2 young boys, and lives in Red Deer where he spends his time commuting between Calgary, Grande Prairie, and Fox Creek.
As CFO of the PVT Group, Jason is responsible for the overall finance of the company. He is also involved in supporting the efficient operations of the company. Jason has worked in the Alberta energy services industry for the past 10 years, where he has held positions as Controller, CFO and COO of different energy services companies. His time in the energy services business has allowed him to run operations in the US, Central America, the Middle East, and Asia. He has also worked in corporate finance where he helped clients sell their business or obtain financing, as well, he spent a number of years working in audit and business advisory services with the world’s largest professional services firm, he has also provided consulting services throughout a number of states in the US. Jason has a CPA, CA designation, a Bachelors of Education, a Bachelors of Commerce, and a Masters of Professional Accounting. Jason has also been the owner of several successful energy service companies, and has contributed to a number of boards of directors, including being Chairman of the largest regional airport in Canada. Jason has 3 young girls, and lives in Red Deer where he spends his time commuting between Calgary and Grande Prairie.
Darcy Coughlin is the COO for PVT Group, and is responsible for the organization’s daily operations within NW Alberta & NE British Columbia. Darcy brings a commitment and passion for building and leading exceptional teams with a focus on the logistics fluid and equipment movement within the oil & gas industry. In addition, his leadership responsibilities have included Customer Relations, Quality Control, Human Resources, and HSE leading to a well-rounded operational vision.
Darcy joined PVT Group in early 2011 after a career with Canadian Western Transportation & Klassen Brothers. Darcy started his career as a driver with Klassen Brothers, and then a transportation coordinator with Canadian Western Transport. After joining PVT Group in 2011 Darcy has held a number of roles including business development, quality control and General Manager all of which have giving him a diverse set of skills that continue to provide our organization with the ability to achieve operational success.
